I tried allergy shots with my daughter and she was not able to tolerate a shot every week, especially at the higher doses where the shot got quite large. I ultimately decided to stop and retry when she got older. Doing research on line I realized that oral immunotherapy is being used in other countries, so I started researching it here. There is only one Allergist in my area that provides it and they had a 6+ month wait so I decided to try this product. It does seem to help my daughters allergies. We started with 5 drops once a day and we are now doing 6 drops twice a day along with children's allergra. She coughs less, and her nose runs less than with Allegra alone. It also has a pleasant taste. I took two stars because there are homeopathic herbs in the formula. While allergy drops have been tested in research studies, there is no evidence that these herbs do anything and I would prefer the children's formula without them. My other complaint is that the bottle is small, but this is a small inconvenience. I was at maintenance in my allergy shots and switched to the adult drops by allergena. I use both the mold and regional drops during allergy season and they work great. They are alcohol based and the taste reflects this though.
