It is a plant-like member of the fungus kingdom which doesn’t actually produce chlorophyll like most plants do to create energy. Because it cannot create it’s own energy it consumes whatever food source it lands on. To mold a food source is anything made of organic material such as wood, paper, food, or organic tissue.
