In contrast to NSAIDS for chronic conditions Boswellia does not inhibit prostaglandin production. Inhibits 5-lipoxygenase, decreasing leukotriene synthesis.

Mechanism of action: Animal studies performed in India show that BSE (Boswellia Serrata Extract) decreased polymorphonuclear leukocyte infiltration and migration, decreased antibody synthesis and caused almost total inhibition of classical complement pathway. Recently, BSE has been shown to inhibit 5-lipoxygenase and also human leukocyte elastase and as a result has been recommended for various inflammatory conditions (1). The mechanism of action is quite distinct from non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) which inhibit prostaglandin synthesis.

Several clinical studies confirm the benefits of BSE in supporting healthy joint function and optimizing gastrointestinal and respiratory health.

Pain free...

I started using this product to take care of a back injury. Before that I had tried anti-inflammatories and Physical therapy which helped but did not take the pain away completely.
I first noticed improvement after 3-4 days and and by week 1 my family even noticed improvement in what I was able to do. I was able to sleep through the night, without any other medicines.
By 4 weeks I was painfree. I am a Physical therapist myself and was not sure if this would work but I am pleasantly surprised. I now suggest this to my clients.
